It seems that at least once a week I read about some couple divorcing. Now we have the First Couple of Basketball -- Shaq and Shaunie -- heading for divorce court.
Remember that song, Breaking up is hard to do?Maybe we should rewrite the lyrics, Staying together is hard to do. Certainly marriage is one of the most difficult relationships to navigate.

I totally AGREE...Shaq MESSED up when he married an EDUCATED woman...unlike the other players!!! Shaunie did what any other SMART women would have done after being humiliated with the Superhead book, his boy Kobe putting him on blast about his cheating ways and countless women whom he has encountered since the marriage. (maybe even a baby or two that she doesn't know about due to the HUSH MONEY SHAQ GIVES) Oh well...poor Shaq right?!?! WRONG!! It happens to the best of us...KARMA IS MF!! Shaunie was probably getting ready to file for divorce...Shaq found out and beat her to the punch. The house on Star Island has been up for sale for a while now...so you do the math. AND as for his man "equipment"...Shaunie has nothing to worry about because I'm sure she's had to take matters in her own hands at times to reach her peak...SHAQ IS NOT PACKING...TRUST ME!!!! This girl one of my friends knows of had sex with Shaq like a year or so ago. Apparently he is a big "p" hound and does it often. My source told me that girl and him did it at "The Loews" and he bolted right after.

What do you mean Shaq messed up when he married an educated woman...Shaunie is not educated, unless you are referring to knowing how to trap a man with money by spitting out a lot of babies. I have know Shaunie for about 13 years and she has always been a gold-digger. Trust me Shaunie is not innocent in the world of "infidelity"....if you are a beleiver of the Word....it says, "you reap what you sow"....Shaq better have a DNA done also
I'm just surprised Shaq's mother didn't pick upon her before her son said "I Do"...I wish I was his sister...he never would have said "I Do" or if he wouldhave he would have been a lot more cautious of his finances with her and any other business matters.....she will definitely scoop or be scooped by some hungry guy waiting in the winds for Shaq's money via Child Support.....most men will have aproblem with 5 children under 12,but there is one that is hungry for $$$$$ or more $$$$.....look at Tracey Edmonds
I have known Shaunie since Greater New Bethel and it soesn't surprise me that she was caught with her hands in the cookie jar....thise were her obvious intentions when she married Shaq....but he couldn't see the forest for the trees....he should have just asked her husband (Myles daddy) who she messed over for a few good men. I agree what you do in the dark will come to light.

I was about to comment on how difficult it is to be married - or in any long-term relationship.
But, all this nastiness about this particular couple has totally hit me by surprise.
I guess, what I want to say is that any marriage is difficult -- but you can multiply that several times over for people in the public eye.

It is sad for the babies.But any woman out there would do the same to secure your future and your children.Some of you, who are writing are doing alot of not so innocent things yourself.FOR ALOT LESS MONEY! I went to St. Marys High School with her and were good friends. She was a nice person then and I am sure, she still is.Beleive me Most of us would love to have the LIFESTYLE she has.Also not to mention her parents, siblings and her son. Shaunie breached their prenuptial by diverting assets in a deceitful manner, she would have been better off filing for divorce and claimed infidelity as the main reason, and just taking her chances but since she tried to move and hide assets it will be proof of criminal intent to side step the prenuptial agreement.
A credible source has said that Shaunie cheated on shaq (WITH OTHER CURRENT & ONE FORMER SUPER STAR NBA PLAYER) as retaliation against Shaq....
Now I don't believe that Shaunie would cheat on Shaq with other players just to get back at Shaq because she does not seem like the type that would trick her self off out of spite, but I do think she would seek to receive advice on how she could divert funds long in advance to her filing for divorce with the hopes that the courts wont be able to track everything down.
I will say this, I have come into contact with Shaunie before and lets just say she is smart but NOT INNOCENT at all.......
The source has also said that Shaq had hired a Private Investigator to find out what she was up to and the divorce has been in the works every since the House on Star Island was placed on the market......

I'm not saying Shaq is a bad person, but hey, a woman has to do what a woman has to do! I would have never signed the pre-nup in the beginning. I personally feel it’s a contract for disaster and sets an undertone for the future which is, "the end of marriage".
Does anyone think about the children involved here. Marriage is no longer honorable for a lot of people that want to live in the moment. There are hardships in every marriage and it is time for all who take that vow to honor those vows. I see nothing wrong with Shaunie taking steps to secure her future as she is entitled. You can't always rely on our so-called "legal" system to be fair especially when there is big money/assets involved.
What a sad case, pile on.. drop dimes and lies, tell me this does every woman get paid to ...k a pro, dont think so, Was there ever any love, we dont know.
Think about if someone taking mental notes, watching your every move, only to drop facts as soon as your life gets a little rocky, (Ladies) maybe when you took your number of the guy you meet at the mall, or (Guys) the woman you meet on a business trip, even though nothing became of it, someone was holding a journal with the details just waiting.
We will never really be sure what happened, but you can bet your last dollar if man files the paperwork, he has found some serious dirt, and is truly feed up with whatever is going down.

Shaunie is not entitle to a damn thing. She signed the pre-nup knowing what she was getting herself into. See what happens when you are greedy, you get caught. If she was so worried about her well being (financially)then she should have started her own business and not sit at home. I know taking care of children is a full time job but she should have a side job with a business partner. Take a lesson from Kim Porter, she was smart enought to use her fame (from Diddy) and created a business. I believe you don't go through life depending on anyone because you get nothing in the end.
How unfortunate! Were each of the reality show appearances publicity stunts??? We've seen him wine and dine her, and the claims of professed love each had for the other. It has taken this long for them to build their family (6+years), can or did they spend half that time attempting to salvage their marriage. Each of them owe it to the other to put forth an earnest effort. The only thing that seems to be certain in the public's eye is they both can do a lot worst than their current situation.
She's been married for over 5 years, and has 4 children with the man. Trust she would have been provided for with or without stashing anything away. One worng doesn't excuse another. If he wronged her, then it was not for her to retaliate. Vegence belongs to our heavenly Father, ONLY!!!!
WOW all I can say.. I as on two weeks ago filed for divorce myself lets just say for all men out there dont marry a woman with children the child or children will try and eventually destroy your marriage.. Not that this has to due with Shaq but divorce for any reason is a sad state of affairs believe me this shit is harder than I thought it would be..Everyone be blessed..
Educated or ignorant, rich or poor, marriage in this day and age has become extinct. We live in a society that is "free to be you and me"...no morals, no perimeters, no conscience, no respect, no committment, no boundaries. Infidelity has become the "norm". If it ain't working at home, just get it somewhere else. It's not just one gender. Men and women. It isn't like our grandparents, who stayed married for 50 years. You're lucky to stay married 50 minutes. I've done it 3 times, and that may look bad on me, but each time infidelity was the culprit. I'll NEVER do it again (get married). It's nothing like what you imagine when you're a kid. It does take work and committment, which is hard to do for some people. Why should you, when you've got chat rooms, internet porn, singles' web sites, and just about every resource available to help you with your "problems at home". Our mindsets have become ones of greed, selfishness and vanity. I don't care how nice Shaq and Shaunie are, they are both at fault. It takes two to make it work. Obviously the money didn't help...and who gets the short end of the stick? THE KIDS. The problem is most people get married without knowing who THEY really are, or what they want. I've come to know myself, and that's who I'm good with. I'm just a woman who's been to hell and I'm back from my trip...don't get me wrong, marriage is a wonderful thing, but it is a contract, and the people involved need to be serious about the commitment they've made, and work together.
Ummmm.... okay.. Let's consider the facts:
1. Shaunie was married to Daven Baptiste (Myles' daddy) when she hooked up with Shaq.
2. Shaq got her pregnant and then went to Daven (who was his accountant at the time)and told him he was taking her
3. She divorced Daven and married SHaq.
4. Shaq paid Daven to shut up about it.
5. Daven had a nervous breakdown shortly after.... poor dude.
The old saying is true "if they're willing to cheat with you, then they're willing to cheat on you".
If Shaq was being a typical NBA player, then Shaunie got what she deserved all these years; marital misery. And if she was a gold digger, serves Shaq right; he steals her from Baptiste, and she steals money from him.
This sounds like God's retribution to me..

If in fact, (and this is a great possibility), Shaq was breeching his marital vows by cheating, then Shaunie should have filed for divorce. She decided to do what she did, and now look where she's at! She is not to be praised!
But in my humblest of opinions, both parties knew who they were marrying before they each said "I do". Shaunie knew Shaq had no respect for marital vows when he committed adultery along with her while she was married....made babies and all! Shaq knew that Shaunie's cruples about marriage and family were non-existent when she chose to make babies with him out of wedlock...while she was married...after she had made a commitment to God and her first baby's father to Love, honor and cherish til death! What made Shaq think that she would show him anything different???
In my opinion BOTH of them are at fault! Because once you chose to marry someone, you can't expect to change them. When you marry someone, you marry their faults, vices, habits, good AS WELL AS the bad! When two people say "I do" to each other, they take eachother as they are at that moment...not what they aspire them to be. Neither of them have much room to start complaining and filing things now.
Marriage is something that people in this society think is "cute" and that it dosen't take hard work and commitment, let alone a strong relalationship with the Lord, the One who CREATED the institution of marriage! Marriage is a COVENANT that is meant to be unbroken. The kids are the tru victims in this situation. Now instead of having an in-tact home with two parents, they now just get to VISIT them. This is sad!
I was shocked that this has happened. I still hope and pray that there can work things out and get back together. Marriage is hard and does take committment and hard work. Many marriages today fall apart for one reason or another. Shaq and Shaunie whatever differences the both of you have with each other, try to work things out. Love you both.
It makes me sad. It seemed like they were a happy couple. It just doesn't seem right having them divorced.

Marriage is VERY hard wheather you are in the public eye or not. I've been married to the same man for 11 years and it doesn't get easier as time goes by. In fact, it takes more work and more committment, something this society is not willing to do anymore. No one wants to work at their marriage anymore, they all want to take the easy way out-adultry, divorce, homosexuality (down-low is homosexuality I don't care what you call it!!!), etc. Where are the REAL saints? Where are the REAL couples who believe in the santity of marriage? Where are those who have made up in their mind that marriage is meant to be a ONE time deal with ONE man/woman and not three or four? Where are those who are committed and who choose to make it work THE FIRST TIME AROUND? Where are those who are willing to stand up and fight for what is true and what is right in the eyes of God?
It seems to me from what I read that both are as guilty as the other. One thing that stuck out to me is that Shaq cheated with her as well as on her. Yes he's getting his reaping from what he's sewn, however, it is still their (Shaq and Shaunie's) personal business, and people obsessing over it and plastering their business all over the media truly need to get a life and find Jesus. Instead of blastin' them we really should be praying for them, especially the church where the divorce rate is higher than "in the world."
It grieves God to see the first and most important institution HE created in such chaos and disarray, which of course is the enemy's plan. Pray not just for Shaq and Shaunie, but for the state of marriage in general (I mean REAL marriage between a man and woman not that perverted same sex crap!).

I don't think that doing this for security for the kids is the issue,because if anything Shaq love his kids,and no doubt he will do anything for them,but my goodness all these peeps that knew Shaunie that long,has opened up a can on this piece,LOL!!!!
