Yikes! The National Guard isn't ready...
...for hurricane season because, according to a news story, too much of the guard's equipment is over in Iraq. Once again the administration has bungled priorities. Florida and other states in hurricane alley are risking a lot to fight an unpopular war we should have never started in the first place.

Meanwhile congress and the executive administration are pecker fighting about the war. The boarders are not secure. Hello, what was the Iraq war about in the first place? This was noted long before but now it's just another form of entertainment on TV.
Putting that aside, I am rather optomistic that storms may not hit land as much as they did in 04-05 again this year and I think scientists fancy this notion as well but can't admit it. In fact, any long term forecast that they publish will always be the worst case scenario, for obvious reasons and regardless of which way the evidence dictates. If they mention that it would be anything less from worse they will most likely stop seeing funding for their research and projects and even worse get blamed for it happening in the first place.
At any rate, instead of moving north away from Florida, I am thinking of just crossing over to Mexico, given it would be so easy to crossover as easy as it is to get in from there to the US. I can even live for 20 years off of my 6 month un-employement checks aside from my savings, which if I stay won't last me for even groceries. :)
You mean that the Bush administration did not learn anything after Katrina and the Gulf Coast????? What a surprise!!!
