Too late for a school night
My 15-year-old son will start in his first varsity football -- at 7 p.m. That means he won't get to bed until after 11 p.m., way too late for a school night. I can't understand why games can't be played on a Friday or Saturday. Is it a problem with too many teams and too few fields?
Whatever the reason, it doesn't make academic sense.

It probably would be too late for a school night, if it were an every day event. Game nights are only once a week.
Your son is young (but not too young) and can handle one day with little sleep - and you are teaching him to do his best even when he is NOT at his best.
Team sports are such great training grounds for life that a few nights with less than usual sleep are a low price to pay.
He is learning teamwork - cooperation - he is being challenged to do his very best even when he is dead tired.
These qualities will do him well in life.
Go TEAM!
