Losing ground

I feel fortunate in many ways. I have a good job, a nice house and healthy children. But there's no doubt I've been losing economic ground for the past 2-3 years. Now there's confirmation from muckety-mucks that inflation is squeezing the middle class.
Our income is not keeping pace with our most basic expenses for food and health. Milk is through the roof. And health costs? Forget it. The medicine I take now costs me twice as much as it did two years ago, and that's with higher premiums.
What's the solution?

Locally, the solution lies with fostering an environment that appeals to those who will create economies more prosperous than the ones we have now. In essence, people who will attract the world's skilled workforce.

The current state of local schools, public transportation, lack of open green space and public amenities, looming property tax and insurance crises (etcetera, etcetera)does nothing to create such an environment.

Add to that the poster child for how not to develop an urban center and well...at least we still have the beaches.

If any presidential candidate knows answer for your question then they can win without any campaign. Take good insurance policy to take care of your medical bills, that is what I have to say for you now...
