The view from my front door
Who says there are no seasons in South Florida? My neighbors' yards are awash in color, the last effusive hurrah before the heat wilts all the flowers. I know how corny this sounds but ... it perks me right up to open my front door and see the gardens a'bloom.

Yes, South Florida has seasons. The changes can be subtle, care must be taken to see them. This does not mean they are not as beautiful as up north.
My favorite is when the cardinals return in the spring. I always have a number of pairs making up nests and raising little ones ever year. It is one of life’s little pleasures.
South Florida is paradise -- I think that the change of seasons is highly overrated.
I lived up north for several years, and what people don't discuss is how horrible it can be in winter -- month after month of gray skies. Many people suffer during that time of year.
I much prefer the sunny skies and beautiful palms of our South Florida.
