Say it ain't so...

Zach Thomas released? How could the Fins do that? Everybody loves him. He's likable, fun to watch, and a good linebacker. (I'm partial to linebackers because my son plays middle linebacker for his high school football team.)
Then again, sports is a cold, cold business. Maybe next time we complain about the players' salaries, we'll remember that there is NO job security on the field.

This is not good news to us - Miami LOVES Zach!

He has been a bright light during our dark seasons. It's a real shame that we are losing him. Heartbreaking.

On the other hand, it was predictable -- the "TUNA" likes BIG linkebackers and Zach (although very talented) is not BIG.

This might work out for him -- he might end up on a team where he can get that Superbowl ring that he so richly deserves.

We love you Zach -- thanks for the great years you gave us.

Look I love Zach, but lets get a reality check here. We are not gong to win with him. And, he is at the back end of his career. Did he help us last year. No. I realize he was hurt. No disrespect to Zach (in fact my sons name is Zach and his nick name is Zack Attack) I do remember him getting beat in pass coverage for big plays and occaisionally getting knocked to the ground on big running plays. Yes, I remrmber the good plays too. Remember this is a team game. Especially, for the middle linebacker. If the defensive line is not doing its job then the linebacker can't make plays. Time to move on. Save the salary and build with youth. Sounds sad, but sometime the truth hurts. Zach Thanks for all the memories.

Can I ask you why you are blogging about this? You trying to take Armando Salguero's job? Is he going to blog about making pizza with the kids now?
