Some people have all the luck

I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I've won anything in a contest, although there was one year that I want the door prize -- a GPS -- at my husband's fishing club's annual banquet. Otherwise, luck is pretty much a stranger.
This apparently is not true of everybody. A woman in New York has won the lottery TWICE. Life is so unfair. Wealth should be spread around

Luck is a matter of persepective. I'll grant you that it must be SWEET to come into a lot of money. Pay off all the debts and buy a little get-away in the Carolinas....

I feel that (many times)we take our good fortune for granted. It's not until we lose it that we realize just how blessed we have been...ask anyone that is diagnosed with a serious illness - or whose spouse left them (either by choice or by death). They will tend to appreciate what they lost.

I try to pay attention and develop a gratitude for all of my blessings, be they large or small. My husband, kids, grandchildren, my friends, pets...all of the things that make my life so blessed.

You have won the lotto by having your beautiful family and so much talent. You can still play the lotto - because I know the extra money would not hurt.
