From the creators of Survivor and Parcheesi...

If you want to liven up the conversation at your next dinner party, bring up the subject of immigration. Like abortion and English-only mandates, this is one topic every guest has an opinion on. Watch how quickly people choose camps -- and how quickly they lose their tempers. Accusations will fly. Facts, verifiable and misconstrued, will be brandished.
The conversation will be especially timely now that Congress is looking at a comprehensive overhaul of the nation's immigration laws. (Check out the latest http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/front/14201417.htm)
I'm surprised no one in Hollywood has made a reality show featuring illegal immigrants. What about a game (like the popular "Risk") that features border patrol and smugglers?

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little safety deserve neither liberty nor safety", Benjamin Franklin.
Our leaders want to build fences, or walls to keep the evil elements out, or is it the start to keep us in.
I remember watching the celibration of the Berlin Wall coming down.
Our country needs a reasonable immigration policy that creates order for those wanting to come in and enjoy the life we all take for granted. Not to have a sub-population that will do jobs for salaries so low no one living here will do them.

All of us come from somewhere else.

Lady Liberty holds these words high,
"Give me your tired, your poor,
your huddled masses yearing to beathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
No fence or wall can be built high enough to block out that "lamp".
