A job well done

My daughter is graduating with a bachelor's degree today -- almost eight years after she started. She's been going part-time while working and tending house. I'm so proud of her for her perseverence. Eight years is a long time to stick with something.
And best of all: she'll be attending a master's program at Barry University full-time. Seven intense months of an accelerated program, no less.

Congratulations Ana! You must be very proud of her -- she stuck to it and got the job done.

You know the old saying - "it's not where you start out that counts, it's where you end up that matters!"

Some kids do better if they take their time, get to know themselves, and then finish their academics. Not everyone is made for a straight-shot 4 years right out of high school experience.

In any case, she is doing well and you can pat yourself on the back. You provided the value system and the example that made her value education.

God bless all of you!

Congratulations Ana! As I watched the news yesterday, I saw an 81 year old grandmother graduating college the same day as her granddaughter. So, yes, I agree that dedication is a virtue!
