Ana Veciana-Suarez is a columnist and writer for The Miami Herald. She is the author of several books, including The Chin Kiss King, Birthday Parties in Heaven and the young adult novel, Flight to Freedom. When she's not writing, she's giving her diabetic dog insulin shots, ferrying her sons to sports practices and practicing breathing exercises at red lights. Her five children have promised to start a counter-blog.
