Do we really need tuition hike?
I've got two more sons and a niece to send through college, so I'm no big fan of tuition increases. However, Florida state universities have lagged behind on several factors as a result of inappropriate funding. The governing board aims to change that as well as pump up tuition to meet universities' needs.
Go for it. We must keep pace with other state university systems.

I am not a big fan of tuition increases, but for most colleges that is what happens each year.
A higher cost may not even mean an improved college education experience .
This is one reason that the Pre-paid College program makes sense for a lot of families. We used it for our kids and it was worth the investment.
It freezes the price at the rate of when you started.
A real savings if you ask me.
